Celeste Stoney is a powerhouse pop soul vocalist, award winning songwriter, passionate animal activist and youth mentor empowering girls through creative writing.

Growing up around music, her grandmother was an opera singer and her father a self-taught musician. Stoney has been singing and performing since the age of five getting her professional start as a featured artist on the Ja Rule platinum selling album, The Last Temptation and as a finalist on such shows as American Idol and Making The Band III . Influenced by the pop/soul of the 80′s – she says “I love melody driven songs…with big hooks…that touch the soul.” This is reflected in her own musical mix of pop, soul & retro-funk, all of which are crowned by the effortless power and control of her richly distinctive voice.

Her debut single, “My Kinda Crazy” created quite the industry buzz. Celebrity blogger, Perez Hilton says, “Celeste Stoney reminds us of Pink. And that’s not a bad thing! It’s quite fabulous actually! My Kinda Crazy is BIG power pop with some killer vocals and a real soulful throwback vibe!”, CNN says, “Thank you! There is a female who brings ‘true music’ back” and Next2Shine, the highly influential taste making blog that discovered talents like Sam Smith, Mindless Behavior and Karmin says, “Celeste’s powerfully articulate vocals and on-stage heart-on-the-sleeve passion is what marks her out as one to watch.”

Stoney was one of three indie artists chosen by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences to perform for the 2nd Annual Los Angeles Chapter GRAMMY Showcase at the Roxy Theatre (West Hollywood) along with special guest Universal Republic Records recording artist The Weeknd.

Celeste is determined to not only make good music but to embody who she is off the stage in every one of her songs. She says, “I want to create songs that my kids can listen to and be proud of.” After taking some time out of the spotlight to welcome her son into the world, Stoney is back and her debut EP titled UNASHAMED is due in the fall. Songs like “KOOL” take a lighthearted but real look at over-sexualization in media while the infectious soulful sound has you hitting repeat. “DUMB”, is a quirky no-holds-barred reality check of society as she sings, “We got poison on the tables and the fumes in the air slowly killing us but we don’t care.” “CAMOUFLAGE”, is a power ballad about equality and being yourself that brings chills to your spine and tears to your eyes. The subject matter in “25 To LIFE” and “MY KINDA CRAZY” embody the ups and downs of a lasting, monogamous relationship. Celeste is a refreshing new voice that is reminiscent of an era when great music had a great message.
